The Wonder of Nature Photography
The Road less traveled
About Us

“In our fast paced world we seldom pause long enough to appreciate the beauty that is everywhere around us.  We hope our work will allow you to see a glimpse of what we see as we follow the road less traveled.”

Gary was born and raised in Minnesota. He moved to the desert Southwest in 1994. He currently lives in the Coachella Valley of California with his wife Janette. Gary became interested in photography in the 1980’s when he bought his first 35 MM SLR camera. He converted to digital photography in 2003

" I find incredible beauty so many places here in the Southwest and everywhere I go. I often visit the Living Desert in Palm Desert, California, very near my home. Despite numerous trips there, I find, on every visit something new and unique to photograph."

Janette is a native of Southern California.  She has lived in the Coachella Valley most of her life.

We both love living here and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us each and every day.

On a recent trip back to Minnesota  and the “Lakes Country” around Brainerd, we spent several hours exploring a little lake in the Pillsbury State Forest. She caught the bug and took some excellent photos herself.

On the morning of our return from the Twin Cities she and I each took a camera to Rice Park , just across the street from our hotel in St. Paul. Some of the results are included here.

Recently we decided to share our view of the natural world. We do very little retouching of our photographs. What you see is what we saw that day. We hope you will find pleasure in sharing our view of our natural wonders.

Nature is not always perfect and neither are these photographs. Please enjoy and come back often. We will be adding several 35 mm photos of our ventures to Utah, Arizona and the Grand Canyon.

LONG BEACH DECEMBER 8th.  It was a nasty night in Southern California but you came to the Second Saturday Artwalk anyway.  All of your comments and support warmed me though.  Buying our work helped too lol.

I want to thank Merek especially.  Compliments from a fellow professional about my macro flower photos are the highest of all

Your feedback is very important to us .  It helps us improve our work and this web site not to mention sustaining us on nights like December 8th.  Please sign our guest book and leave any comments you wish.  They truly are appreciate
